Caregivers! Immediate Clients and Hours
About the role
We're looking for experienced caregivers who live in or near Dothan to join our team. For over 14 years, FirstLight Home Care has served families throughout the Wiregrass and is expanding our client base in the Enterprise area. We seek dependable caregivers who take pride in doing things the right way.
You'll work one-on-one with seniors and adults in their homes, providing hands-on caregiving. Our clients need more than someone to sit nearby—they need someone attentive, capable, and trustworthy.
Responsibilities
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Companionship and emotional support
- Mobility assistance and fall prevention
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping related to client care
- Transportation when needed
Schedule
Daytime availability between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or nighttime availability between 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Shifts generally range from 4 to 12 hours. Every other weekend availability is required. Caregivers with open availability typically receive the most consistent client assignments, though client needs and continuity of care come first.
Pay
$12.00 to $14.00 per hour, with loyalty bonuses at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.

Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Comfortable working in homes with pets
