About the role

Friendship Village, a premier Life Plan Community located in St. Louis, is seeking a Caregiver with a strong positive attitude toward customer service. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

Responsibilities

Supportive Services involves providing care to multiple clients throughout the day at scheduled times. Job responsibilities vary based on each client's individual needs and may include:

• Medication reminders
• Assistance with showers
• Laundry and linen changes
• Escorting clients to and from appointments or activities
• Performing various personal care services as outlined on the care plan/service plan as necessary to meet the patient's needs
• Providing homemaking services, companion/sitter services, transportation and escort services and related medical activities as assigned
• Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
• Following all privacy policies of the Organization, Infection Control protocols and maintaining the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Attending in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
• Performing specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Strong positive attitude toward customer service
• Genuine interest in geriatric care
• Ability to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents
• Must be able to provide care in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of patient care
• Traveling is required in this position
