Full Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transferring and positioning of the client
  • Observing and reporting changes in physical and mental conditions
  • Skin care - assist in applying over the counter lotions to prevent dry skin
  • Clean and maintain medical equipment - power wheelchair, hospital bed, shower chair, and Hoyer lift
  • Accompaniment of client when out of home to grocery, doctors appointment, or pharmacy errands.
  • Prep/clean after a meal
  • Basic home chores (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry)
  • Personal care assistance (toileting)
  • Bathing - perform a skilled transfer into shower using transfers
  • Dressings
  • Companionship and conversation

    Requirements

    Day Shift

    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • At least 2+ years of related caregiving experience
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Personal vehicle with current auto insurance
    • Ability to pass a drug test
    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Ability to lift 50 LBS

    Compensation

    $17.00 - $18.00

    Your Life as a Caregiver

    This companionship and caregiving position offers flexible hours and opportunities to assist seniors on day shifts. Clients may receive as little as 4 hours of care, while others require 24-hour care. As a Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping seniors live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation. With the client's dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help them maintain proper personal hygiene. You are gentle and professional as you aid them with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding. At times, you provide companionship to clients who have dementia or cognitive impairments. You're kind and patient as you ensure they receive the highest quality of elderly care. You carefully complete documentation for each shift, submitting timely updates.
