Caregiver – Southern Maryland

Senior Helpers Southern Maryland is seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers to support clients throughout Southern Maryland. We have immediate opportunities for experienced caregivers, especially those with experience supporting clients with Parkinson’s disease.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide personal care and companionship
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping related to client care
• Support clients in maintaining their independence and daily routines
• Observe and communicate changes in client condition
• Follow individualized care plans and provide dependable, compassionate care

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience
• Reliable, compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
• Comfortable providing one-on-one care in a client's home
• Experience with mobility assistance, transfers, and personal care
• Ability to consistently arrive for scheduled assignments and communicate effectively
• Experience caring for clients with Parkinson's disease (highly preferred for select assignments)
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Negative TB test
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Pay

$16.00-$19.00/hour (based on experience)
Training Pay: $15.00/hour

Schedule

• Flexible: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overnight, PRN/Fill-In
• Typically 12-40 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred
