Responsibilities
- Aid residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Bath, dress, groom, and assist with mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Administer medications accurately according to schedules and protocols
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping
- Adhere to infection control standards
- Accurately document care activities in EMR systems
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and behavior management techniques
- Competent in performing vital sign measurements and medication administration
- Experience with individuals having developmental disabilities or requiring personal support
- Certification or training in first aid (willingness to obtain if not already held)
- Strong communication skills for collaborative team work
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred for community outings or errands)
