About the role

As a caregiver, you will provide light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, kitchen/bathroom/bedroom cleaning, laundry services, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and may include running errands or grocery shopping. Caregivers may assist with personal services such as dressing, bathing, and grooming. Be a part of our team by helping our community one person at a time.

It is important that our PCPs have the ability to interact and work cooperatively and effectively with our clients, coworkers, supervisors, family members, and community referral sources. Our PCPs must be able to perform general homemaking skills, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, make common-sense decisions, and perform other duties as required. The PCP must also communicate effectively, conduct themselves in a professional manner, and maintain a professional appearance that enhances Goodwill's reputation. Our PCPs respect the confidentiality of each client and work as part of a team of professionals to help ensure we make the best use of our resources to achieve our mission. It is critical that the PCP maintain complete and accurate data and client records as required for this program.

Responsibilities

• Provide light housekeeping duties (vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, kitchen/bathroom/bedroom cleaning)
• Laundry services
• Preparing and serving meals and snacks
• Running errands or grocery shopping
• Assist with personal services such as dressing, bathing, and grooming
• Maintain complete and accurate data and client records
• Interact and work cooperatively with clients, coworkers, supervisors, family members, and community referral sources
• Perform general homemaking skills and demonstrate excellent customer service
• Communicate effectively and conduct yourself in a professional manner

Requirements

• 6 months experience providing homemaker or personal care services
• Ability to relate professionally and effectively to fellow employees and program participants
• Criminal background check and willingness to submit to random drug screenings
• Flexible and professional at all times
• Geriatric, medical, and/or home-care experience a plus

Preferred but not required: valid Colorado driver’s license and your own transportation.

• Hands/Fingers: Simple grasping, fine manipulation, repetitive movements continuously
• Walking, standing: Continuously (5-8 hours)
• Sitting: Occasionally (1-2 hours)

$17 per hour

Schedule

Part-time, flexible hours. Location: various homes throughout Pueblo County.
