Caregiver (Personal Care Assistant)

About the Role

Wallick Senior Living is seeking a Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver to provide direct resident care and help residents thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. This role involves working as part of a team to ensure residents have a comfortable and safe place to call home.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents
• Provide physical resident care including all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming
• Answer call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to resident and/or family needs
• Motivate and encourage resident involvement in participation of activities
• Assist residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community
• Lift, turn, and re-position residents as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• CPR Certified
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members, and peers
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions

Qualifications

• Organized and self-motivated
• Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus

Pay

$16/hour plus shift differential
