Caregiver (Personal Care Aide)

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to individuals in need
• Aid with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social outings
• Observe and report any changes in clients' condition to the appropriate parties

Requirements

• Must be certified to work as a caregiver in the State of GA (GA 40-hour Caregiver certification or PCA minimum)
• Previous experience as a caregiver is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow daily care plans and detailed instructions
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and perform light household tasks
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Pay

Compensation for this role ranges from $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Schedule

This position requires schedule flexibility. In-home care schedules are based on each client’s needs and are not always traditional 8-hour shifts or 40-hour workweeks. PCA shifts may include shorter visits starting around 2 hours or longer shifts ranging from 4–8 hours. Applicants should be comfortable with varying weekly hours. Shorter client visits may offer a higher hourly rate, while longer shifts may provide more consistent scheduling. Reliability, flexibility, and availability are important for matching caregivers with the right clients.
