Caregiver (Per Diem)

About the Role

Make someone’s day brighter right in the comfort of their own home! As an At Home Caregiver with Garden Spot Village at Home, you’ll build meaningful connections while helping clients with personal care, daily routines, and agreed-upon household tasks. Through a helping hand, a friendly conversation, and compassionate care, you’ll support each client’s safety, independence, and comfort while making every day a little easier and more enjoyable.

Responsibilities

• Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times
• Maintain a positive attitude and uphold standards of good caregiving practice
• Assist clients in a manner conducive to their safety, comfort, and independence
• Report any unusual observations or conditions to the Coordinator of GSV At Home or Assistant Coordinator/Scheduler
• Practice safety for self and clients and report any unsafe conditions
• Follow the established care plan for each assigned client
• Assist, as contracted, with clients’ personal possessions, home environment, meal preparation and feeding, appointment scheduling and reminders, and other services listed in the care plan
• Provide personal care as contracted, including assistance with bathing, continence care, oral hygiene, hair grooming, dressing, shaving, and nail care
• Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduled
• Attend all in-services and training sessions relevant to the position
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Answer the telephone and assist clients with calls

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• No experience necessary; training will be provided
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)

Schedule

May include weekends, evenings, and holidays. Flexible per-diem schedule with cases available at our Garden Spot Village location and no more than 10-mile radius offsite.
