Caregiver (Part Time, Sunday & Monday, 6am-2pm)

About the role

The Caregiver at Emerald Court meets the needs of community residents by providing assistance with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include monitoring residents' well-being, assisting with requests, supervising daily tasks, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' well-being and report any changes to appropriate associates/departments
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other ADLs
• Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations
• Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures
• Help residents with assistive devices and encourage self-care
• Document care provided consistently with standards
• Input into service plans and review reports/checklists
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy, practice safety, and observe residents
• Support team efforts and assist with community events
• Assist with room upkeep and laundry
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
• Reduce costs and improve efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Nursing assistant course recommended
• First Aid certification and CPR, if required
• State training requirements/certifications (e.g., CNA)
• Basic technology skills (Microsoft Office, internet-based applications)
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
