Caregiver Part time - 1st Shift

About the role

Heartis Village Peoria, now part of the Discovery Management Group, is seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and physical and emotional support to each resident
• Ensure awareness of whereabouts and conduct frequent checks
• Support residents with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
• Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
• Notify supervisor or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid (CNA) certification preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with superior customer service skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
