About the role

Mains'l has the privilege of supporting adults with various abilities and limitations, responding to their hopes and dreams.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with extremely talented and amazing people to help support adults in their own homes.
• Help individuals live a meaningful and fulfilled life based on their goals and aspirations.
• Support with medication, keeping a safe living environment, assisting with personal care, cooking, cleaning, attending community events, and supporting any hobbies and interests they may have.
• Attend events such as movies, birthday parties, or restaurant outings, based on the interests the person(s) may have.
• Teach skills and abilities through coaching and role modeling, card games, music, and trying new adventures.
• Be a voice to advocate for the needs of those who don’t always have the voice or ability to do so.
• The ability to support with personal care (getting dressed, showering, toileting, etc.), cooking, cleaning, medication administration, support of positive behavior, and working through difficult situations in ways that lead to positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with the person you support and your co-workers to problem solve and create a positive and inclusive culture.
• Document the person(s) you support day-to-day.
• Aid or support activities of daily living in the person’s home and their community based on the needs and preferences of the person you support.
• Support others to realize their hopes and dreams, which may take place in the form of community events or activities.
• Have fun!

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Pass a background check through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI check if applicable.
• Safe and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, if applicable.
• Pass a driving record check, if applicable.
• TB (Tuberculosis) Skin Test
• Physical, if applicable.

• Experience with medication administration

Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour
