About the role
Provide in-home care services to clients, primarily on weekends in the Rocky Mount area.
Responsibilities
- Follow individualized care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist clients with self-help activities and provide basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal preparation, including attention to special diet needs.
- Use equipment like walkers and wheelchairs safely and follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Perform secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep, while maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, and ensure quality care within scope of practice.
- Monitor client condition changes, report concerns, and notify supervisors of any issues or unsafe situations.
- Assist with medication self-administration (not direct administration) and adhere to all policies.
Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
- Must be 18 years or older.
