About the role
Copper Canyon is currently seeking a caregiver to join their team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of their residents, their families, and the community. Responsibilities
- Supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
- Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
- Exhibits a positive customer service attitude as demonstrated by being approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.
- Displays personal initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
- Demonstrates consistent work attendance as scheduled and addresses work-related problems with the proper individuals.
- Maintains communication skills that include careful listening, being sensitive to other people's thoughts and feelings, giving thoughtful responses, and the timely and accurate reporting to appropriate people.
- Maintains confidentiality of both resident and staff information.
- Presents with a neat, clean appearance.
- Participates in designated facility in-services.
- Helps new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates must meet age requirements as per facility policy and state regulations.
- Preferred qualifications include prior direct care experience, high school diploma or GED, and current CPR certification.
Qualifications
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate nature are essential.
