Caregiver (NE)

About the role

Copper Canyon is currently seeking a caregiver to join their team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of their residents, their families, and the community. Responsibilities

• Supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
• Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
• Exhibits a positive customer service attitude as demonstrated by being approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.
• Displays personal initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
• Demonstrates consistent work attendance as scheduled and addresses work-related problems with the proper individuals.
• Maintains communication skills that include careful listening, being sensitive to other people's thoughts and feelings, giving thoughtful responses, and the timely and accurate reporting to appropriate people.
• Maintains confidentiality of both resident and staff information.
• Presents with a neat, clean appearance.
• Participates in designated facility in-services.
• Helps new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Qualified candidates must meet age requirements as per facility policy and state regulations.
• Preferred qualifications include prior direct care experience, high school diploma or GED, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate nature are essential.
