Caregiver (Morning Shift)

About the role

Truewood by Merrill, Georgetown is currently seeking a Senior Living Caregiver to support residents within our beautiful community. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors and dedicated to ensuring residents are provided with an atmosphere that values individualism and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and complete daily progress reports of services provided.
• Complete progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

Requirements

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver.
• Able to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care.
• Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
