About the role
The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, ensuring exceptional resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team.
Responsibilities
- Leading shift assignments
- Managing attendance
- Providing hands-on ADL support
- Coaching staff on quality standards
- Reviewing charting to ensure adherence to Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitoring resident changes
- Communicating concerns promptly
- Supporting onboarding
- Mentoring new team members
- Promoting safety and compliance for smooth shift transitions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care
