Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license, working vehicle, and current, up-to-date insurance
- To adhere to the client's plan of care
- To be flexible with schedules per client needs
- One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
- To have good communication skills, including active listening
- To be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
- To pass background and drug screening
Responsibilities:
- To assist clients with ambulation and mobility
- To remind clients of medication
- To assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- To prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions
- To transport clients to and from shops, pharmacies, or appointments
- To perform light housekeeping duties for the client
- To be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion
Skills:
- One year proven experience as an in-home caregiver (preferred)
- Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoist, wheelchairs, transfer benches, walker/training
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- To be respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
Available in various hours, including part-time, days, evenings, weekends, or overnight.
