Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is seeking In Home Aides, both CNA’s and experienced caregivers in Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties. Work part-time, days, evenings, weekends, or even overnights. Provides personal one-on-one care to the client. On-going need to fill this role. We service Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties, and surrounding areas in SC. Each Visiting Angels location is independently owned and operated ensuring compassionate family service and satisfaction of care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Medication reminders
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

Skills

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!

Pay

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule
