About the role

As a Visiting Angels Caregiver – In‑Home Direct Care, you will enrich the quality of life of clients and support their wellness in accordance with custom care plans.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients, adhering to dietary requirements.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands.
• Opportunities for advanced training in dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation and a current driver’s license.
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and transferring clients.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while following dietary guidelines.
• Willingness to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.
