About the Role
As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you’ll use your skills, empathy, and professionalism to deliver consistent, high-quality care that strengthens the lives of our clients and their families. We are seeking dependable, CNA-level experienced caregivers who can confidently support clients throughout Fort Collins and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships through friendly, engaging conversations and participation in clients’ preferred activities (e.g., gardening, scrapbooking, or playing games).
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including walking, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and other activities while maintaining their comfort and safety.
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and support safe eating routines.
- Observe clients’ mobility, behavior, and physical or cognitive changes, reporting concerns promptly via our communication app.
- Follow care plans accurately and adjust your approach to meet each client's daily needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic caregiver mobile app to clock in/out, record tasks, and update client notes.
- Communicate clearly with families, supervisors, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond to schedule updates and care plan changes with professionalism and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Provide safe assistance with bathing, mobility, transfers, positioning, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, medication reminders, feeding, and dressing.
- Companionship & Household Support: Engage clients in conversation and recreation; prepare light meals; perform light housekeeping; manage laundry; assist with shopping and errands; provide incidental transportation; help maintain an organized and comfortable home environment.
- Client-Centered Flexibility: Complete additional tasks assigned by the client or care team that support safe, successful aging in place.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of professional CNA-level caregiving experience.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Legal identification and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to use a smartphone for electronic scheduling, communication, and documentation.
