Caregiver / Home Care Aide (HCA) – Morning Shifts – $21–$26/hr

About the Role

BrightStar Care is hiring experienced Caregivers and Home Care Aides for AM and morning shifts throughout Monterey County. We are seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers who can provide one‑on‑one care to clients in their homes. Our clients are located across the Monterey Peninsula and surrounding communities, including Monterey, Carmel, Carmel Valley, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Marina, Seaside, and Salinas. Positions offer morning availability with 2‑hour, 4‑hour, 5‑hour, and 8‑hour shifts, weekday and weekend options, consistent recurring schedules, and flexible per diem opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care assistance
• Assist clients with morning routines
• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and other meals
• Assist with medication reminders as permitted
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, shopping, and activities
• Assist with walking, mobility, and transfers as appropriate
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition
• Document completed tasks and accurate caregiver care notes
• Follow each client's individualized plan of care
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the BrightStar Care team

Requirements

• Morning / AM availability
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Current automobile insurance
• Current CPR certification
• Negative TB test or chest X‑ray
• California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registry registration
• 1+ year of professional caregiving experience preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Personal Care Assistant, Direct Support Professional, or similar role preferred
• Ability to reliably arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Compassionate and professional communication skills
• Dependability and a strong commitment to providing excellent care

Pay and Benefits

• $21–$24 per hour base pay
• Additional $2 per hour for weekend shifts – earn up to $26/hour
