Caregiver HHA/PCA

About the role

Senior Helpers of Northern Queens is seeking dedicated and compassionate Caregivers to provide support in clients' homes. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and have a pleasant and friendly personality.

Responsibilities

• Aid with personal care activities including baths, oral hygiene, basic skin care, grooming, toileting, catheter and ostomy care, transferring, dressing and undressing, changing diapers/briefs, ambulation, medication assistance, and home exercise plans.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, feeding clients, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and using equipment/supplies safely.
• Engage in conversation, activities, and exercises with clients as directed by professionals.
• Monitor and document client care and report any changes in condition to supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in home health care.
• Active HHA License from NY state.
• Safe and reliable transportation to client locations.
• Valid and current state driver’s license and insurance.
