Caregiver - HHA/PCA
About the role
Alvita Care is seeking Home Health Aides (HHA) and Personal Care Aides (PCA) in the Mount Sinai area, throughout Suffolk County. We are looking for compassionate and experienced caregivers; drivers are preferred.
Alvita Care is a mission‑driven Home Healthcare & Personal Care Agency with four branches and over 500 caregivers. We provide In‑Home Personal Care, Alzheimer's & Dementia Care, Palliative & Hospice Care, and Geriatric Care Management. We have earned The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval and exclusively serve private‑pay clients.
Schedule
Shifts are 1:1 private duty, home care or facility bedside. Scheduling is flexible with shifts between 6 and 12 hours. All work is per‑diem, with available schedules including part‑time, full‑time long‑term, and short‑term/fill‑in hours.
Qualifications
- Certified New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Reliable, professional, and patient‑centered
- Must maintain professionalism in all written and verbal communications
- Must have updated medicals/vaccinations or be willing to obtain them
- Prior home care experience strongly preferred
- Drivers preferred
- Completed drug screen or completed Habituation Form
- Must successfully complete the Alvita Care onboarding process before accepting cases
