About the role

Join HomeWell Care Services of NWI and be part of a team dedicated to enhancing seniors’ lives, one day at a time. You will work individually with clients, providing one-on-one non-medical services that allow seniors to age in place in their own homes. Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Support with daily living tasks such as feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Grooming, toileting, and dressing assistance
• Light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Requirements

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA, HHA, or 6+ months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer’s care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative tuberculosis (TB) test
• Physically able to perform duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts
• Compassionate, mature, caring, punctual, and reliable
• Excellent communication skills

Pay

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
