Qualifications

- Extremely trustworthy, reliable, and attentive - Compassionate - At least 18 years old and eligible to work in the US - State Registered Nurse Aide preferred but not required if experience and skill can be proven and demonstrated - Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation - Good communication skills (verbal and written), fluent in English - Able to pass a drug test and criminal background check - Physically able to care for another human as demonstrated by the ability to stand for long periods and carry 35 lbs multiple times per day

Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on personal care including assistance with ambulation, transfers, toileting, bathing, grooming, etc. - Turn and reposition clients and perform mouth care (for some high-level care clients) - Establish open communication and develop friendly relationships with seniors and their families - Encourage activity and movement and inspire a positive attitude towards daily tasks, appointments, and hobbies - Perform light housework and prepare snacks, drinks, and medication reminders (depending on the client's needs) - Handle clients with dementia and exhibit confusion and other behaviors with high energy and dedication
