About the Role
Provides direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential or community programs, supporting 4-6 or up to 10 individuals.
Responsibilities
- Implements individualized service plans, assisting with socialization, health, medication, personal care, housekeeping, recreation, transportation, community integration, and daily activities.
- Maintains accurate documentation and manages assets within budget.
- Fosters professional relationships with individuals, families, and case managers.
- Supports medical appointments, administers or supports medication management, monitors health, and handles medical equipment and supplies.
- Assists with meal preparation, respecting dietary needs and preferences.
- Attends training and maintains safety and cleanliness.
- Supports transportation and complies with all policies and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; six months of human services experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Computer skills and ability to perform heavy physical work while maintaining safety standards.
- Must pass background checks and drug testing.
- Must complete mandated training.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
