Caregiver for Adult Day Program

About the role

Direct Support Professionals at Healthcare REM Community Services (part of the Sevita family) provide community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll assist people with personal hygiene, behavioral challenges, and other complex needs while helping them achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. This role involves building meaningful relationships, supporting community integration, and taking initiative to enhance participants' quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
• Help individuals achieve developmental goals (e.g., budgeting, exercise, nutrition).
• Facilitate community participation and favorite activities.
• Develop trusting relationships with participants and team members.
• Take initiative to promote independence and well-being.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License for at least 1 year (post-permit) and a clean driving record meeting Sevita’s insurability policy.
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
