Caregiver/Direct Support Professional (Group Homes)

Identifies crisis situations and implements prevention and intervention procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the individuals you support.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain the well-being of the individuals.
• Support individuals in daily living activities.
• Identify and respond to potential crises, implementing appropriate prevention and intervention strategies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid FL driver’s license and successful Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Completed Professional Crisis Management Training (provided).
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least one year of experience providing care for people with developmental disabilities.
• Enjoy working and communicating with others.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings.

Skills

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage stress and maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and related support needs.

$17.00/hour

Schedule

• Part-Time: Sun 12p-10p Sat/Sunday 10a-6p Saturday 2P-10P, Sunday 9a-8p, Monday 4p-9p
