Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Caregivers / Direct Support Professionals to join the team in and around Altoona, PA. DSPs work one‑on‑one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. BAYADA is celebrating 50 years of compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, basic hygiene)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities

Qualifications

• One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities/special needs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Pay

Competitive pay starting at $17+/hour, depending on experience

Schedule

Part‑time roles with the possibility of additional hours, Monday‑Friday 9 am‑3 pm
