Caregiver/companion IHSS

This position is a rare opportunity to work and recreate outdoors in a very decent, sane, and wholesome environment. I am a very active, young-at-heart 78-year-old (more like 55), comfortably retired businessman, minister, spiritual teacher, pleasantly eccentric, and kind-hearted.

About the role

Seeking an IHSS caregiver to assist and help me at home and with errands, and more importantly, an activities companion (I pay for gas & meals during outside activities) to help me get back out in the world after a long illness and severe injuries from which I'm now slowly recovering.

Requirements

• Female, 50+ (mandatory)
• IHSS-approved/registered (mandatory)
• Platonic relationship only
• Insured car required (mandatory)
• 4-5 days/week, Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday
• No young dependents at home (preferred for flexibility and dependability)
• Very good health
• Very fluent in English
• Absolutely no drug use, marijuana, excessive drinking, or intoxication
• Preferably live within 10 miles of 10th Ave & Broadway, East Village, downtown San Diego

Pay

• Currently 112 hours/month (28 hrs/week) at $2284/month
• Can be raised to 154 hours/month (38 hrs/week) at $3141/month

Schedule

• 4-5 days per week, Monday-Friday
• Occasional Saturday
• Flexible schedule
