Caregiver - CNA/HHA/PCA (Windsor)

About the role

Hartford HealthCare Independence at Home seeks qualified candidates for the Homemaker Caregiver position. This role involves providing personal care services to clients in their homes, including hygiene, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and more.

Responsibilities

• Personal hygiene and grooming care for clients
• Toileting and ambulation assistance
• Meal preparation to meet clients' nutritional needs
• Reporting changes in clients' health status to appropriate personnel
• Performing routine housekeeping and managing household tasks
• Recording and updating care plans as needed
• Providing emotional support to clients and their families
• Aiding with therapeutic exercises as directed
• Participating in case conferences as requested
• Attending required in-service education sessions
• Using computer software and smartphone applications for training and documentation
• Representing the company in a professional manner
• Thinking critically and escalating issues appropriately without direct supervision

Requirements

• Two years of continuous work experience
• One year of previous patient care experience, with specific experience as required by the work area
• New graduates of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) programs are welcome
• Current and valid Driver’s License in good standing, along with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance

Pay

Schedule
