Caregiver - CNA/HHA/PCA (Torrington)

Responsibilities

• Personal hygiene and grooming care to clients
• Assistance with toileting, ambulation, etc.
• Providing meals for clients' nutritional needs
• Reporting changes in clients' condition to nurse, supervisor, or client care coordinator
• Performing routine housekeeping and home management duties
• Recording each client's care on care plan and submitting care plan in a timely manner
• Assisting with providing emotional support for the clients and their families
• Assisting with routine therapy exercises
• Participating in case conferences as requested
• Attending all required in-service education sessions
• Using computer software program and smart phone for required education
• Representing the company in a positive and professional manner through a high level of customer service
• Thinking critically without direct supervision and the ability to escalate when appropriate

Requirements

• Driver's license and car with auto insurance
• One year of previous personal care experience at a facility or agency
• Two years of continuous work experience
• New Grad CNA's are welcome
• Caregivers must be comfortable driving within 30 minutes of where they live for cases

Schedule

Hourly cases range anywhere from 4- 12 hours at any time in the day, evening or night. Shifts will take place within 30 minutes of where you reside.
