Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and independence.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Basic knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check (State and National).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
