Caregiver (CMT)

Responsibilities

• Provide light housekeeping, medication reminders, run errands or provide transportation if needed.
• Accompany clients to appointments, prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
• Encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.
• Have stimulating conversations, encouraging client's to be more independent with life skills and participating in their hobbies.
• Motivate clients to participate in ROM exercises daily and healthy lifestyles.
• Administer prescribed medications in accordance with Registered Nurse delegation and within the scope of practice for a Certified Medication Technician (CMT).
• Properly document all medications given, and maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MAR).
• Observe and report any side effects, adverse reactions, or changes in client condition to the appropriate supervisor.
• Ensure medications are stored safely and assist with medication setup when required, while adhering to all state regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License or Government ID
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
• Must be able to complete and pass a Criminal Background check.
• TB Test/PPD or X-Ray within the past year (X-Ray 5 years)
• Physical endurance to transfer, re-position, and lift a client via Hoyer Lift or manually
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time.
• Experience using a Manual or Mechanical Hoyer Lift, motorized wheelchair, and other adaptive equipment is preferred

Pay

Salary: $18.00/ hr-19/hr
