Caregiver - Clackamas, OR

Serving the greater Portland Metro area across Multnomah and Clackamas Counties.

Pay

$20 - $21/hr

Schedule

• Monday through Friday (between the hours of 8 AM - 8 PM)
• Split shift every day of the week (8a-12p, 4p-8p) — memory care experience required (ask about shift during interview)
• Weekend shifts 2p-10p (ask about shift during interview)

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs and up to 50 lbs rarely
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record to get to client visits
• Able to transport clients in their own vehicle

Caregivers with experience in Hoyer's, Dementia, and mental health are a plus. Caregivers comfortable with pets and smokers in home are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition
• Other activities of daily living as assigned

Oregon only — if you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings.
