About the role

The Visiting Angels office in Tupelo seeks dedicated individuals to provide compassionate care to senior adults and those in need within the Northeast Mississippi area, including Rienzi, Iuka, Booneville, Tishimingo, Walnut, and more.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Ambulate and assist clients with mobility
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
• Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Shop for clients or accompany them
• Be a companion and support person
• Report unusual incidents and act responsibly in emergencies

Requirements

• Passion to serve others
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Housekeeping and cooking skills with dietary considerations
• Willingness to follow health and safety standards
• Respectfulness and compassion
• Good time management and communication skills
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
