Job Summary

The Visiting Angels office in Birmingham seeks dedicated caregivers to provide compassionate care to senior adults and those in need within the Northern Birmingham area.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Ambulate and assist clients with mobility
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals with clients' assistance
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Do clients' shopping or accompany them when shopping
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies

Requirements

• Passion to serve others
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate attitude
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
