About the role

Touchmark in the West Hills is Portland, OR’s leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services and amenities. We are currently seeking a compassionate person to join our talented team as a Caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents in our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods receive the highest level of dignity and care.
• Distinguish yourself by taking the time to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their family members.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed - activities such as bathing, grooming, hygiene, dressing, mobility and toileting.
• Build relationships with the amazing people who live in our community.
• Provide assistance and emotional support to residents using the Best Friend’s Approach to dementia care.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• A genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment.
• A willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality.
• Able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

• Willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality.

Pay

$20.80 - $24.32 per hour + differentials
