About the role

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll join a mission-driven team and create relationships that motivate us all every day.

Responsibilities

• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Experience ownership and trust from your leaders to do what’s right for participants.
• Take the initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist with personal hygiene and provide support to individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs, including autism and related conditions.
• Help with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, assisting with personal care, and staying calm and problem solving in stressful situations.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Ability to cook, clean, assist with personal care, and handle stress effectively.
• Behaviors: Patience, compassion, reliability, and responsibility.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions.

• Full Time Day Position Available
• Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs 8a-4p

Pay

• $14.75 hourly with On Demand Pay Options
