Caregiver

Job Responsibilities

• Providing personalized support to older adult clients
• Assisting with ADLs such as bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Assisting with dressing and toileting
• Mobility and transfer support
• Feeding assistance when needed
• Incontinence care
• Companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with iADLs such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, grocery shopping, laundry, linen changes, transportation, organizing daily routines, and ensuring client safety
• Going for walks, listening to music, hearing stories, and playing cards or board games

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience required
• Experience with both ADLs and iADLs preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation preferred
• CNA or HCA certification is a plus, but not required

Available Shifts

• Day Shifts: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Morning Shifts: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
• Overnight Shifts: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
• Extended Shifts: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
• Afternoon / Evening Shifts: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Caregiver Requirements

• Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers, if necessary
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift up to 30 lbs
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
