Caregiver

About the Role

We are Fox Hollow Independent & Assisted Living, a retirement and assisted living community in beautiful Bend, OR. We provide compassionate care in a nurturing environment and are looking for caring individuals to join our team as caregivers. In this role, you will assist senior residents with their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, and meal services.

Responsibilities

• Follow the resident service plan, including assistance with bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Note and report changes in resident condition.
• Communicate problems, concerns, or issues regarding resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards, OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

Requirements

• Preferred: six months of experience in senior caregiving (newcomers to healthcare will be trained).
• Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
• Ability to compose reports in English.
