Caregiver

Parkview Estates, a retirement and assisted living community in Kennewick, Washington, is seeking caring and compassionate caregivers to join our team. We provide compassionate care in a nurturing environment for our senior residents.

About the role

As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.

Responsibilities

• Follow the resident service plan, including assistance with bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Note changes in resident condition and communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards, OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.
• Compose reports in English.

Requirements

• CNA or HCA license preferred.
• Six months of experience in senior caregiving preferred; new to healthcare candidates will be trained.
• Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
