About the role

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in your care. You’ll provide compassionate support to clients in various settings, including home care, assisted living, and nursing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate care plans
• Support individuals with mobility challenges using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces to create a welcoming environment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs
• Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting patient information

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred
• Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is essential for ensuring client safety
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges as needed
• A compassionate nature combined with patience and empathy towards those you support
• Certification in direct support or relevant social work experience is a plus
