About the role
The Caregiver meets community residents' needs by helping with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include delivering quality care, encouraging independence, ensuring physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being, and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ well-being and report any changes to the appropriate associate/departments immediately
- Assist residents with simple requests or find associates to assist
- Learn resident preferences for exceptional customer service and resident satisfaction
- Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities of daily living
- Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations
- Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures
- Help residents with assistive devices
- Encourage self-care of residents and document care provided
- Support resident-centered wellness programs and special events
- Assist with resident laundry as assigned
- Maintain upkeep of residents’ rooms and common areas
- Support open and honest communication with and between all associates
- Work as part of the team within your department and across the community
Requirements
- Bring a smile to work every day
- Be a great team player
- High school education or GED equivalent preferred
- Nursing assistant course recommended
- First Aid certification and CPR, if required
- Meet State training requirements and/or certifications (Nursing Assistant Certification desirable)
- Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Pay
$19-$20/hr
Schedule
- On-Call: 6:30am-2:30pm; 2:30pm-10:30pm; 10:30pm-6:30am
- Part-Time: Saturday & Sunday: 2 PM to 10 PM
