Responsibilities

  • Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
  • Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and independence.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check (State and National).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
