We are hiring part-time Caregivers for daytime and weekend shifts in Aiken, Augusta, and surrounding communities. This is a rewarding opportunity to assist aging adults in getting the care they deserve in the home they love. Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Companionship and conversation
• Providing stabilization and assistance with walking
• Preparing meals and cleaning up meal-related items
• Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders
• Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
• Washing and ironing laundry
• Running errands
• Accompanying clients to appointments
• Assisting with bathing, grooming and dressing
• Assisting with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer's Care

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
• Ability to consistently provide physical assistance to a client (i.e. stand-by assistance while walking, assist client with transfers)
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check, DMV check, pre-employment drug screen
• Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle which will remain with you at your shift with valid auto insurance
• Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Flexibility in the number of hours needed per week (this is a part-time position)
