Job Summary

About the Role

Companions & Homemakers provides non-medical home care services to individuals in need. Responsibilities include transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and assistance with daily living tasks such as dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care. The role also involves providing companionship and emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Aid with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a compassionate nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous caregiving experience is beneficial but not required.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy are essential. Basic computer skills are helpful for managing client records and scheduling.
