Caregiver

About the role

Companions & Homemakers is hiring for various positions across multiple service areas in Connecticut. Positions include Direct Care roles such as Companions and Homemakers, with flexible schedules including Weekday, Weekend, Awake Overnight, and Live-In shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Aid with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus

Qualifications

Companions & Homemakers values compassion, dependability, and dedication. The ideal candidate will be a steady, caring presence who can offer emotional support and assist with daily living tasks.

Skills

While not required, experience in caregiving roles can be beneficial.
