Caregiver

Job Summary

Caregiver positions are available in multiple service areas across Connecticut. Positions are part-time to full-time, with flexible schedules including weekdays, weekends, overnight, and live-in shifts. Competitive hourly rates, holiday pay, paid time off, medical/dental benefits, and a 401(k) plan are offered. Referral bonuses are also provided.

About the Role

Companions & Homemakers provides non-medical home care services, including transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping. Caregivers assist with tasks such as dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care, and offer companionship and emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Aid with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a compassionate nature, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Training is provided.

Skills

Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to follow directions are essential.
