Job Summary

Caregiver positions are available in multiple service areas across Connecticut. Shifts include weekdays, weekends, overnight, and live-in options. Competitive pay, benefits, and a referral bonus are offered.

About the Role

Companions & Homemakers provides non-medical home care services, including transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping. Caregivers also assist with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Aid with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a compassionate nature, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ongoing training is provided.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions are essential.
